Laser Peel
What is a laser peel?
This is a procedure involving the use of a laser to remove thin layers of your skin's surface to stimulate the reproduction of the
collagen in the skin. This can be performed on the face, neck, chest and hands.
What conditions can be treated?
- Wrinkles
- Moles
- Acne Scars
- Lentigo (Sunspots)
- Actinic Keratoses
- Surgical Scars
- Hypertrophic Scars
What should I expect after treatment?
Depending upon the depth of the treatment you may experience erythema (redness) and swelling which may last several weeks. Temporary skin
color changes may also occur, however this will resolve over time.
A skincare line will be recommended for you and instructions on use. This will minimize the risk of infection and promote the healing
time. The top layer of skin will re-grow and can be covered with makeup in one week.
Is it painful?
The amount of discomfort may vary with each individual. Your physician will discuss an anesthesia option to manage any level of discomfort
from the treatment. During the treatment you may hear a snapping or popping noise as the laser beam gently removes the outer skin cells.
The sensation and level of discomfort will vary on each individual and will depend on the depth of the treatment.
