Lipodissolve
What is Lipodissolve?
This is a treatment involving the tiny injections of phosphatidylcholine into the localized fatty areas. Phosphatidylcholine, is an
enzyme found in soy lecithin that is medically proven to reduce cholesterol, increase metabolism, enhance liver and cellular functions
and reduce localized fat.
Is it safe?
Like any injectable product, treatments may cause side effects or allergic reactions in some people. Some of these side effects include:
local pain, minor burning sensation, gastrointestinal upset and temporary bruising. Itching and soreness may be experienced for a few
days.
How are the treatments performed?
The skin is first cleansed with an antiseptic solution. The placement of the injection sites are marked out using a pen by the physician.
The injections involve a slight penetration of the skin, which typically is 4-12 millimeters.
Post treatment:
The area may be a little tender and swollen for a few days. The application of cold packs may help. Wear loose comfortable clothing. Take
a brisk 30 minute walk within one hour of each treatment.
- Reduce your caloric intake.
- Eat several small meals to assist in regulating insulin levels
- Drink plenty of water (Unsweetened tea will assist with fatty acid burning and will enhance thermogenesis)
- Exercise daily. Resistance training will assist in burning fatty acids more than aerobic training.
How many treatments are required?
For localized fat reduction, 90% of the patients will visibly see results after 6 treatments and will achieve satisfaction after 10
treatments. 5% may require less or more.
